A Year In Review - 2008

Last year was a pretty fun year for movies. There were those that disappointed us and fell short (way short), while others far exceeded our expectations and ROCKED hard.
Here are a few of those movies that made
my best and worst list of 2008.

~BEST~
Batman - The Dark Knight
Health Ledger's portrayal as the Joker will forever go down in history as one of THE best performances ever.

Sex & the City

Just when you thought the series couldn't get any better, they up and made a movie that far exceeded any of my expectations. Well done!

Iron Man

This movie kinda came out of nowhere for me. WOW! Robert Downey Jr. made this smart, high impact superhero movie one that even non-comic fans will enjoy.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

BRILLIANT!

Pineapple Express
This highly entertaining, offbeat comedy has future Cult Movie written all over it.
"I think we should stay. Why? Cuz I'm in the dumpster already."

~WORST~
Twilight

(rolls eyes) Don't even get me started.

X-Files

Mulder and Scully returned last Summer to explore more conspiracies and unexplained phenomena. Perhaps they can explain their need to even do this movie.

The Strangers

Not anywhere near as frightening as advertised. Inevitably, the cat and mouse game goes on too long and the tension dies a slow painful death.

Transporter 3

The third installment of the Transporter franchise is a major step down from its predecessors, featuring generic stunts and a lack of energy.

88 Minutes

I should have walked out after 8 minutes. It just wasn’t entertaining enough. Poorly edited, drab and booor-iiiing.

funny but i can't really say much because i have only seen dark knight, iron man and twilight. but I see what you're saying about those movies. Let's hope for better with the new director of twilight- New Moon- well lets hope it goes far and above it.

That's what she said.

I totally agree with every movie on your list. And I busted out laughing at ..."Cuz I'm in the dumpster already." LOL! Love that movie.
