Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time First Trailer

Source: MySpace

Disney has finally debuted the first trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, based on the video game of the same name, on MySpace. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Prince Dastan alongside with Gemma Arterton as Tamina and Ben Kingsley as Alfred Molina. I've heard about this movie for a while now but have only seen posters for it... until now. All I have to say is, this movie looks like it could be friggin' rad! I have always loved these type of epic adventures movies. Even though I'm not too sure about Gyllenhaal taking the lead role, it still looks pretty great. Enjoy!

Follows a prince who must stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is directed by English director Mike Newell, of Donnie Brasco, Mona Lisa Smile, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire previously. The screenplay was co-written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard (The Uninvited, The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and the story was developed by Jordan Mechner, one of the original creators of the video game. Disney will be bringing this film to theaters everywhere come May 28, 2010.

Will you be seeing this?

Oh, I am ALL OVER that action! Not a huge Gyllenhall fan, but he looks like he did pretty well. It looks awesome. I love stuff like this.

Looks great! Xander wants to see it with you. It seems adventurous- like the Mummy or something like that.
