Behind-the-Scenes of A Nightmare on Elm Street

This is pretty cool featurette for Platinum Dunes' remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. This is found on the newly released The Final Destination Blu-Ray. Some have already seen the Teaser Trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street a few months ago, but this video give us a look at the "man behind the mask" Jackie Earle Haley, who plays the infamous Freddy Krueger. It's a bad bootleg of the footage but it's still pretty cool to see. I'm not a huge Nightmare on Elm Street fun, but I think this could be really cool. I love the way they are stylizing this remake. It's dark, it's griddy, and it seems a lot more creepier and intense than the 1984 original. I guess we'll know soon enough.

A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people inside their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.

A Nightmare on Elm Street is directed by first-time filmmaker Samuel Bayer, who got his start directing commercials. The screenplay was co-written by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick (The Saint, Doom). This is a remake of Wes Craven's original Nightmare on Elm Street horror classic. New Line/Warner Brothers is bringing A Nightmare on Elm Street to theaters on April 30, 2010.

Worth seeing?

Yeah, see, this is exactly the sort of film I DO NOT watch. EVER. Looks well-done enough, if you like leaving a wet spot on your comfy theater seat, but me...I'll pass.
