Latest Trailer for 'Let Me In'

Source: MTV

Overture Films has just released their 2nd full-length trailer to Matt Reeves remake Let Me In. Even though I'm annoyed they are remaking this movie, I'm still intrigued and I will mostly likely see it regardless. Maybe it's because I love vampire movies. I'm also a fan of the two main actors - Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee. I seriously doubt it'll be as good as the original, but I do think it'll do a good job living up to the toughest expectations. Oh and it has to be said, as far as trailers go, I feel this trailer gives entirely too much away. Why do they feel the need to show so much prior to its theatrical release? It kind of frustrates me. Anyway, with that being said take a look.

A bullied young boy (Smit-McPhee) befriends a young vampire girl (Moretz) who lives with her guardian.

Let Me In is both written and directed by American filmmaker Matt Reeves, who's feature directorial debut was J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield but prior to that he directed episodes of "Felicity" and various other TV shows. This is a remake of Tomas Alfredson's 2008 film Let the Right One In, or more specifically a re-adaptation of the Swedish novel Låt den rätte komma in written by John Ajvide Lindqvist. Overture Films is bringing this movie to theaters everywhere on October 1st.

Does it look as good as you were hoping?

If I had never seen "Let the Right One In" then I would probably be more excited for this movie. It looks pretty cool.

But I just can't help compare it to the original and I don't think it will be as good. We'll see.
