First International Trailer for 'Let Me In' Debuts

Source: Deadline

"I need blood to live."

First of all I thought the 2008 original film from Norway titled Let the Right One In was absolutely amazing! With all the lame vampire broo-ha-ha saturating the media, it was refreshing to finally see a good vampire movie appear in the midst. I was pretty disappointed to hear Overture Films was remaking this fantastic movie, changing the name to Let Me In, which isn't nearly as cool. But apparently this remake has been getting some good buzz from test screenings, which is nice to hear. This actually looks pretty good, so who knows, they might be able to pull it off. I can say, though, this trailer is going to be heavily scrutinized by many fans of the original, but that's okay, it deserves to be. Anyway, being that I'm a huge fan of vampire films/books etc. I'll most likely see this once it hits theaters. This remake stars the talented Choe Moretz (Kick-Ass) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road). Have a look!

A bullied young boy (Smit-McPhee) befriends a young vampire girl (Moretz) who lives with her guardian.

Let Me In is both written and directed by American filmmaker Matt Reeves, who's feature directorial debut was J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield but prior to that he directed episodes of "Felicity" and other various TV shows. This is a remake of Tomas Alfredson's 2008 film Let the Right One In, or more specifically a re-adaptation of the Swedish novel Låt den rätte komma in written by John Ajvide Lindqvist. Overture Films is bringing this film to theaters just in time for Halloween on October 1st.

Does it look as good as you were hoping?
