"You may quest the way you like, I will quest the way I like."
There's no denying it, this movie will definitely be the comedy to see in 2011. Universal Pictures has debuted their first hilarious red bandtrailer for David Gordon Green'sYour Highness. I LOVED Pineapple Express, so it stands to reason I'll love this brilliant medieval stoner comedy as well. The film stars the likes of James Franco(who I love btw),Danny McBride,Natalie Portman,Zooey DeschanelandJustin Therouxas the evil wizard. Talk about your star studded cast. This movie looks like one amazing, totally off-the-wall, insane comedy with a mixture of medieval elements, some awesome action, stoner jokes and much more. Can't wait! The trailer's a bit lengthy, but definitely worth the watch. Check it out!
Your Highness is a hilarious new fantasy movie about an arrogant, lazy prince (Danny McBride) and his more heroic brother (James Franco) who must complete a quest in order to save their father's kingdom.
Your Highness is directed by filmmakerDavid Gordon Green, who started indie with George Washington, All the Real Girls and Snow Angels, then went comedic with Pineapple Express (one of my all time favorite comedies) and hasn't turned back. He's also currently shooting The Sitter. Surprisingly, the screenplay was written byDanny McBrideand "Eastbound & Down" creator Ben Best. Universal is bringing Your Highness to theaters everywhere on April 8th, 2011.
"I don't know what space exploration will uncover, but I don't think it'll be exploration just for the sake of exploration. I think it'll be more the fact that it allows us to see things. That maybe we should have seen a long time ago. But just haven't been able to until now."
Some of the scenes were filmed at the Coachella Festival in 2017, where Lady Gaga was the first female headliner in ten years. Festival-goers paid ten dollars to see the scenes being filmed, although recording devices were locked away to prevent any footage being leaked.
I feel film matters because we use it to tell stories about who we are as a society. They are a record of what makes us human and what concerns us in our everyday lives. Film has the power to transform emotions and it gives us opportunities to expand our horizons. It has the power to connect us to a whole new world outside our own. It's magical. Moreover, film is the most prevalent form of communication and entertainment in the postmodern world. Even while we are mindlessly absorbed in a favorite entertaining past time, we are subtly and unconsciously washed with layers of cultural values. Some films are fleeting entertainment while others are truly magnificent, dazzling, thought-provoking works of art.
Long Live Film!
