Must Watch: New Trailer for Crazy Killer Tire Film 'Rubber'

Source: Apple

"Everybody, this is what our killer looks like."

If you think there is no originality in Hollywood, think again. I saw this trailer last year and was completely stunned and amazed all at once - I think it rendered me speechless. I had forgotten about this movie until a new full length trailer popped up this weekend. A film called Rubber about, believe it or not, a mindful rubber tire that rolls around town blowing people up because it doesn't like the way humans treat, well, tires. This film was first shown at Cannes last year and again at Fantastic Fest last fall. Rubber is hitting limited theaters in a few months, and Magnet Releasing has released a theatrical trailer. This could easily be the weirdest and wackiest film to date. It definitely takes the cake for originality, no doubt. Have a look-see.

You can also watch the official Rubber trailer in High Definition on Apple.

In the Californian desert, an incredulous audience gathers to watch a telepathic tire's adventures that are mysteriously attracted by a beautiful lady. An investigation begins. Their official site -

Rubber is written and directed by French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, aka Mr. Oizo (who is a well-known French music producer), who has a few other indie films under his belt including Nonfilm and Steak. This first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was eventually picked up by Magnet Releasing for distribution. Rubber arrives in limited theaters starting on April 1, 2011. Sure hope it comes to my town.

Anyone curious to see it?
