I do love a good vampire flick. And this one is an oldie but a goodie... remake that is. Fright Night is a modern take on the 1985 horror classic that thrusts Anton Yelchin, Christopher Miintz-Plasse, Toni Collette and Imogen Poots into a sticky situation as they found out Jerry (Colin Farrell), the new resident in their neighborhood is a vampire. This actually looks pretty good, and I'm assuming it will be a lot darker and more frightening than it's predecessor. This movie does not need to be viewed in 3D, but to one big surprise it actually is. What a joke! Anyway, check out the trailer below and let me know what you think.
Senior Charlie Brewster (Yelchin) finally has it all going on. He's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie's mom (Collette), doesn't notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic. Fright Night will hit theaters on August 19th, one day before MY birthday.
