La Pompadour is a new French animator on Vimeo who has done some fresh editing with this latest ABC Monsters mash up. His short video takes us on a trip through some of the scariest movie (and TV) monsters. I love how the opening credits read “This video is dedicated to all the monsters who screwed our nights. I love you so much, you bastards.” I bet some of these monsters haunted your childhood (and even adult) dreams. Jason Voorhees definitely freaked me out as a child. Take a look and enjoy!
Clearly there's some easy one's in the mix: "A" for Alien, "F" for Freddy Krueger and "V" for Darth Vader, but he also included some creatures that I wouldn't necessarily call monsters like E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. I also wonder why he used a few TV characters for some of the letters, i.e. the serial killer from Dexter and the TV version of The Incredible Hulk. Alas, the animation is so creative and rad, we can over look that. Plus, there's some I haven't even figured out yet.
