At first glance I didn't give this movie much thought. However, over the weekend, I was able to see this trailer in the theaters and OH. MY GOSH. Freaky! The Conjuring flew under the radar last fall, but it's bound to get some note worthy buzz prior to its July release. Vera Farmiga (The Departed) and Patrick Wilson (Insidious) plays a husband and wife team of demonologists and psychic investigators who enter the most horrifying case of their career as they investigate spirits in a New England farmhouse. I'm now officially scared of clapping. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, were called upon to help a family who has been terrorized in their home by a dark presence. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives. James Wan (Saw, Insidious) directs from a script by Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes. Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Lili Taylor and Ron Livingston star in the film which Warner Brothers sends to theaters on July 19th.
Spooky monster?
