"Why would you tweak the nipples on the Buddha?"
Can't say I'm completely sold on the movie's title (in fact it's straight up stupid! The British name is perfect - Say When), but Laggies staring the darling Keira Knightley looks absolutely charming, and it takes place in Seattle (ahem, my home town). It's a story about woman struggling to find herself while doing everything she possibly can to avoid real responsibility. I know it's a little been-there-done-that, but whatever. At the very least it looks like a really fun rental. The film also stars Chloë Grace Moretz (adorable) and Sam Rockwell (love him!). Take a look...
Having spent her twenties comfortably inert, 28 year old Megan (Keira Knightley) reaches a crisis when she finds herself squarely in adulthood with no career prospects, no particular motivation to pursue any and no one to relate to, including her high school boyfriend (Mark Webber). When he proposes, Megan panics and given an opportunity to escape - at least temporarily - she hides out in the home of her new friend, 16-year-old Annika (Chloë Grace Moretz) and Annika's world-weary single dad (Sam Rockwell). Laggies is directed by Lynn Shelton (Your Sister's Sister), written by Andrea Seigel and hits theaters on October 24th.
Worth your while?
