Jurassic World Review

Jurassic World gets an A for effort, but (lightly) scratch beneath the surface we run into a dino, hot mess. First things first, Jurassic World is significantly better than Jurassic Park 2 and 3, but that's not saying a whole lot - kind of like comparing poo to vomit.  And in no way does it hold a candle to the original.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar is fully operational, and has been functioning as a dinosaur theme park for the last ten years. The island looked very cool, sleek and exciting. It had me saying; "Man, I want to go there." But as the story progressed my semi-high hopes plummeted. The main plot: A genetically designed dinosaur escapes captivity to reek havoc in her new back yard, the island goes crazy, while people try to take it down.

The big finale was riddled with cliches, mixed in with a laughable display of... "really?!." More times than not Hollywood ignores reason for spectacle, though, so I wasn't too surprised.  Bigger and better isn't always a good thing.  I could list a number of things wrong with the film (and believe me there are numerous things - ahem, pterodactyls flying off into the sunset, anyone?), but in spite of everything I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The loveable Chris Pratt proves, yet again, that he's a leading Hollywood star.

Is it worth seeing it in 3D? Absolutely not. Nothing jumps out at you in 3D, which is what I was hoping for. It is however worth seeing it in IMAX. With the monster fan-based already built in (me included), this movie is bound to make $bank$ regardless of how "good" it really is. It already made a whopping $208.M opening weekend (domestic). Do I hear another sequel? (please, just stop.)

Summer Blockbuster HOTTIES - 2015

Time to indulge in a bit of "wanting" - the eye-popping, mouth-drooling, gotta-have kind of wanting.  Hollywood is definitely turning up the heat on the big screen this season. What can I say, 2015 means bid-niss!  All the sizzling babes in this segment turned K-Rated's hot dial up to... 11. Take a look at this seasons Blockbuster Hotties.   Warning: May cause third degree burns.

*Mouth-Watering Bombshells*

This enchanting beauty, of Swedish descent, is absolutely beyond gorgeous.  If you're thinking: "Never heard of her," you would be right. But brace yourself, because this brunette bombshell is about to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood this year.  Be sure to check her out as she heats things up in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., out August 14th.
Up Next: Adam Jones is a Chef who destroyed his career with drugs and diva behavior. He cleans up and returns to London, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars. Release date: October 2nd.

Charlize Theron
There is something mysterious that surrounds this exotic knockout and it has everyone fully intrigued! The calm, cool and collected actress is without question irresistibly stunning. But she doesn't get by on those vapid hot chick roles alone. Opting instead to play a troubled prostitute turned serial killer (to which she won an Oscar), a stone cold astronaut, an evil queen, all the way to her latest butt kicking, balls to the wall role in Mad Max: Fury Road, currently in theaters. Very few women can pull off bald & sexy simultaneously. And later this summer she'll play a woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child, yet is forced to confront those events  by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes in Dark Places, in theaters August 7th.
Up Next: A director of an international aid agency in Africa meets a relief aid doctor amidst a political/social revolution, and together face tough choices surrounding humanitarianism and life through civil unrest in The Last Face, out later this year.

Not only did this dazzling, blonde, sex-siren bag one of THEE sexiest men in Hollywood! (#Sigh #SoJealous), but the down-to-earth, Texan born A-lister is a force to be reckoned with, proving that with a little determination, charm and staying true to self, anything's possible. She may not be the main reason to see Magic Mike XXL, out July 1st, but I'm most certain she will bring her share of heat.
Up Next: The Danish Girl is inspired by the true story of Danish artists Lili Elbe and her wife Gerda, this tender portrait of a marriage asks: What do you do when someone you love wants to change? Release date: November 27th.

This flawless diamond is very old-school Hollywood glam, not to mention tantalizingly sexy. While being super hot is surely an asset to her career, it's but a facet of her persona. She has this sweet, girl-next-door vibe to her, but can definitely vamp it up real nice on the red carpet. Be sure to check her out as she teams up with Paul Rudd in her latest comic-book action flick Ant-Man, out July 17th.
Up Next: Nothing on the foreseeable horizon, but you can bet whatever it may be it's sure to be sexy.

This mouth-watering babe has a lot going for her. She’s young, sassy and devastatingly beautiful. Landing the coveted role as the warrior queen Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones (ahem, currently my favorite show) back in 2011, was the best thing to happen to her career (thus far). She’s been screaming about her dragons and looking good while doing it ever since.  Watch her kick a little butt as she attempts to save the world from mass destruction in Terminator Genisys, out July 1st.
Up Next: Aside from GoT, she will also star in Me Before You, which is story about a girl in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently-paralyzed man she's taking care of. Release date: June 3, 2016

 *Lip-Smackin' Man-Candy*
The L.A. born, 6'5" tall drink of water is one handsome fella. With those gorgeous baby blues and a smile that could render females helpless in a matter a seconds, it's easy to see why he made the cut.  Not only is he good looking, but this smoothy has a killer sense of humor as well, which is unbelievably sexy.  Watch him team up with CIA agent, Napoleon Solo, in this summers blockbuster The Man from U.N.C.L.E., out August 14th.
Up Next: Free Fire  is a story set in Boston in 1978, a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two gangs turns into a shootout and a game of survival, out later next year.

They sure know how to grow 'em goooood in Pittsburgh.  The 6'5" tall, dark and handsome stud-muffin is for sure one delicious piece of lip-smacking, man-candy and an EXCELLENT addition to our summer blockbuster hotties. He seems so charming too, which definitely adds to his sex appeal. Don’t miss this 8 pack sportin’ sexy stud reprise his role as Big Dick Richie in the highly anticipated sequel Magic Mike XXL, out July 1st.
Up Next:  Nothing is set for the big screen (as of yet), but he has been cast in Pee-wee's Big Holiday (made for TV). Release date: Sometime in 2016.

It's definitely difficult to ignore this loveable, American actor who has this gregarious if somewhat goofy persona.  And his gentle, boy-next-door vibe seems to drive the ladies wild. With a rockin' hard body that just won't quit and a hilarious sense of humor, it's prevalent this down to earth sexy man isn't going anywhere but the very top.  Be sure to check him out as he trains Velociraptors in the next installment of Jurassic Park.  Jurassic World hits theaters July 12th.
Up Next: Passengers is a story about a spacecraft that is transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet that has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger. No release date at this time.

God bless America! Even though he was born in the small town of Cullman, Alabama, he's anything but. This 8 pack sportin' heart-throb has girls (and boys) all around the world screaming for more. This former stripper is returning to his roots this summer, yet again, for the highly anticipated sequel in Magic Mike XXL, out July 1st. He's definitely one of the sexiest actors Hollywood has to offer to its young female fan base. But sorry ladies, he's taken, as in happily married (wah wah)
Up Next: Hail, Caesar! follows the life of a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s who works to keep the studio's stars in line. Release date: February 5, 2016.
(pause for reaction) Where do I even begin?! (sigh) There are like a ba-zillion amazing things to say about this devastatingly gorgeous stone-fox of a man.  Those chiseled good looks should be illegal  for starters. Trying to justify his sex appeal is like trying to explain why the grass is green. It just is. We don't question it, we don't debate it, we just accept it. So it's easy to see why the British actor made this list. And aside from being blessed genetically, he's a great actor, humble and quite intelligent. You don't want to  miss him kick a little KGB butt in this summers smash hit The Man from U.N.C.L.E., out August 14th.
Up Next:  Reprising his role as the last son of Krypton in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Release Date: 2016.

With this kind of stunning beauty infiltrating our movie theaters this summer it's going to be hard to stay away. The floor is now yours. Share with me some of your favorite summer blockbuster hotties...

Oscar Hangover - 2015

Source: Screen Junkies

I had such high hopes for NPH's hosting abilities, but like most people I was disappointed. I will say I loved his opening number though - it was exciting and it felt very old Hollywood glam . But afterwards it sadly took a dive south. It wasn't just his lack luster jokes alone that killed the mode (those certainly didn't help), it was also the pacing of the entire show in general. Why would the Academy agree to sing a song before the 'In Remembrance' slide show, only to sing yet another song during the slide show?! There were a few good surprises though - ahem, Lady Gaga anyone

The show may have left little to be desired, but my Oscar party was anything but. My friends and I had a blast.  And in spite of it all I still love watching the show every single year.  I just hope they get Jimmy Fallon to host next year. They really need a true comedian to host the awards.  #IWish #Hilarious #Right?!

Need a little recap?  Check out this awesome video by Screen Junkies. It's quite comical, because it's true.

Onto the fashion... Sure, the Oscars are meant for honoring the greatest achievements in film, and while it does exactly that, every fashionista knows it's all about the dresses. The fashion on this night is just as important and fun as the movies themselves. And while I don't have too many great things to say about the actual show, I certainly have a TON to say about the night's fashion. Gorgeous, couture gowns coming in left and right. Here are my picks for Best Dressed.

 ~Best In Show~
This sparkly diamond blew everyone away when she donned the red carpet. I seriously could not take my eyes off her.  Zoe Saldana's form-fitting custom Atelier Versace dress fit like a glove. Paired with dazzling Neil Lane jewels, it's safe to say motherhood suits her well. The glowing mom just gave birth to twin boys three months prior, Bowie and Cy.
Runners Up...
The brunette babe simply wowed in this gorgeous light blue gown by one of my all time favorite designers, Zuhair Murad (I'm seriously obsessed).  The pale blue perfectly compliments Chrissy Teigen's golden brown shimmery skin and I love her sex-siren dark red lips and old Hollywood glam hair.

I'm seriously obsessed with this entire look. One of my all time favorite actress Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning (ahem, yet again) in this petal-pink, silk-crepe, Ralph & Russo Couture gown. Her hair, make-up and jewels are perfection. I love the shimmery pink lips paired with green eye shadow.

What moments did you love (or hate) at last nights Oscars?  Who would you like to host next year?  Which gown made your top favorite?
