Oscar Hangover - 2015

Source: Screen Junkies

I had such high hopes for NPH's hosting abilities, but like most people I was disappointed. I will say I loved his opening number though - it was exciting and it felt very old Hollywood glam . But afterwards it sadly took a dive south. It wasn't just his lack luster jokes alone that killed the mode (those certainly didn't help), it was also the pacing of the entire show in general. Why would the Academy agree to sing a song before the 'In Remembrance' slide show, only to sing yet another song during the slide show?! There were a few good surprises though - ahem, Lady Gaga anyone

The show may have left little to be desired, but my Oscar party was anything but. My friends and I had a blast.  And in spite of it all I still love watching the show every single year.  I just hope they get Jimmy Fallon to host next year. They really need a true comedian to host the awards.  #IWish #Hilarious #Right?!

Need a little recap?  Check out this awesome video by Screen Junkies. It's quite comical, because it's true.

Onto the fashion... Sure, the Oscars are meant for honoring the greatest achievements in film, and while it does exactly that, every fashionista knows it's all about the dresses. The fashion on this night is just as important and fun as the movies themselves. And while I don't have too many great things to say about the actual show, I certainly have a TON to say about the night's fashion. Gorgeous, couture gowns coming in left and right. Here are my picks for Best Dressed.

 ~Best In Show~
This sparkly diamond blew everyone away when she donned the red carpet. I seriously could not take my eyes off her.  Zoe Saldana's form-fitting custom Atelier Versace dress fit like a glove. Paired with dazzling Neil Lane jewels, it's safe to say motherhood suits her well. The glowing mom just gave birth to twin boys three months prior, Bowie and Cy.

Runners Up...
The brunette babe simply wowed in this gorgeous light blue gown by one of my all time favorite designers, Zuhair Murad (I'm seriously obsessed).  The pale blue perfectly compliments Chrissy Teigen's golden brown shimmery skin and I love her sex-siren dark red lips and old Hollywood glam hair.

I'm seriously obsessed with this entire look. One of my all time favorite actress Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning (ahem, yet again) in this petal-pink, silk-crepe, Ralph & Russo Couture gown. Her hair, make-up and jewels are perfection. I love the shimmery pink lips paired with green eye shadow.

What moments did you love (or hate) at last nights Oscars?  Who would you like to host next year?  Which gown made your top favorite?
